Short version
You can browse KindMesh without an account. The public directory is built around official outbound links, not hidden intake forms. KindMesh does not sell sensitive user intent, crisis searches, support-resource searches, volunteer history, or private planner records.
Information stored in this browser
The current app can save opportunities, simple member-log entries, benefits organizer records, community-note drafts, journey preference, and theme preference in your browser's local storage. Benefits organizer records are meant for labels, deadlines, status, contacts, hours, and where proof is kept; they should not contain Social Security numbers, case numbers, passwords, medical records, full notices, or document contents. Local data stays on the device and browser profile you used unless you export it, clear browser storage, or use a future connected account feature.
Submissions by email
The submit page opens your email client. If you send a listing, correction, guest post idea, or safety note, the email will include whatever name, email address, organization, URL, location, summary, and notes you choose to send. Do not send protected shelter locations, client details, medical records, legal facts about another person, or private home addresses.
Optional account and planner features
KindMesh has an optional planner direction for saves, readiness plans, skill records, and proof-file metadata. The current public preview keeps benefits organizer records local and does not upload benefit documents. Before account storage launches broadly, this policy will name the storage provider, retention rules, deletion workflow, and support contact.
Analytics, payments, and donations
KindMesh avoids analytics that expose sensitive support intent. If privacy-respecting analytics are added, this policy will describe what is measured and why. If payments, subscriptions, donations, or surplus-directed giving are added, KindMesh will publish the payment processor, cost model, refund/contact process, and charity-selection rules before collecting money.
Security and retention
KindMesh collects as little sensitive information as possible, protects account-backed data with appropriate access controls when those features are enabled, and deletes data that is no longer needed. People using a shared or monitored device can use safe mode, private browsing, device-level safety planning, or official hotline guidance when appropriate.
